By a gardener, for gardeners.
Vole King was invented by a gardener who was beyond frustrated because he couldn't prevent burrowing rodents from eating his plants.
I’m Scott Patten, the inventor of Vole King. I was born and raised in North Carolina, graduated from North Carolina State University, and started a landscaping business in the Raleigh suburbs, where my wife and I are raising our family today.
It didn’t take long for me to realize that many of my clients were beyond frustrated because no matter what they tried, they couldn’t stop voles and other burrowing rodents from attacking and destroying their plants. They were tired of wasting their time and money on products that kept failing — and I wanted to help them.
Around that same time, my childhood friend Zolt’s father randomly showed me a hardware cloth basket he’d made to protect his garden plants from voles. He said, “Scott, if you find an easier way to make these baskets, your life will change.”
Zolt’s father’s basket sparked my seven-year mission to create a product that protects plants from voles for life. Hardware cloth is sharp and stiff — it's a pain to work with! Vole King baskets are anything but. They're extremely durable and appropriately flexible — literally saving our customers a whole lot of blood, sweat, and tears.
Today, we’re proud to offer vole baskets in seven sizes, and we’re always working on new products to help you protect your plants. If you’d like to learn more, feel free to reach out to me here. Thanks for trusting Vole King to help you protect your plants from voles, gophers, and other burrowing rodents.
