Product description
Be proactive, not reactive: protect your plants from voles, gophers, and other burrowing rodents with non-toxic stainless steel Vole King cut-it-yourself rolls.
These rolls are made of the same material as our vole baskets — but you can cut them to the exact size of your plant or use them to line a bed for bulbs.
A vole kills a plant by eating its root ball to get to its crown, the vital area where its underground roots meet its aboveground shoots. Vole King mesh protect this vital area. Your plant’s feeder roots can grow through the mesh, but burrowing rodents can’t chew through it. While voles may nibble on the feeder roots, they won’t be able to survive off them, so they’ll move on in search of sustenance elsewhere.
The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University found tomato plants protected by Vole King baskets grow 38% more roots and 18% more fruit than plants not protected by our baskets.
Our baskets easily conform to new plants and old transplants, so it’s never too late to protect your plants with Vole King!

Our R-series rolls are biodegradable; they’re designed to protect your plants for their first few years of life and then break down over time. Our S-series rolls are made of the same rust-resistant stainless steel as our vole baskets and gopher baskets; they’re designed to protect your plants for life. Not sure which type of roll to buy?
